REPRESENTATIVE MURZIN WANTS TO INFORM
FLORIDIANS OF POSSIBLE JOB OPPORTUNITIES PENSACOLA, FL ?
Workforce Escarosa, Inc. has been asked by Advanced Employment Solutions (AES), a Texas-based workforce development and talent acquisition company, to recruit and screen several hundred applicants who will assist with cleanup efforts as a result of the recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Rep. Murzin wants people to know of this opportunity.
"This is not only a job opportunity for the unemployed in our area, it is an important and meaningful effort," said Rep. Murzin. "This is the perfect occasion to help others who also live along the Gulf Coast."
According to Workforce Escarosa, Advanced Employment Solutions (AES) estimates the need for 500 individuals along the Gulf Coast to fill the current openings as soon as Friday, April 30, 2010. Openings will include General Laborers, Crew Leaders, Site Supervisors, Site Safety Representatives and, Lead Safety Representatives. Positions will range from $10 to $18 an hour and may involve extensive travel depending on the landfall of the spill. AES General Manager, James Fries, said the duration of the jobs will depend upon the amount of damage and the cleanup time, however he predicts the process will take between 3-18 months. A friend of mine said this would put a lot of unemployed people to work. I am glad for that, but wish the circumstances for employment were different.
