Aerotek needs people who are HAZWOPER certified for the oil spill clean up. The job will be in Daulphin Island, AL. Pay is $14 per hour (12 hour days), and $100 per day per diem. They are looking for 1500 + people. You can get more information at Aerotek-Pensacola. 850-469-4444

I know for a FACT that a similar company is being compensated at a rate of $48 per hour per employee. The company I know is also receiving $5000+ per month additional for administrative costs and overhead as well as money to reimburse lodging and food for EACH employee.
The people on the ground working for Aerotek earning $14 per hour and $100 per diem are potentially trading in the long term health of their lungs while another big company rakes in profits. In my opinion something isn't right with this picture.

My post was for those who are looking for jobs. Each week we have several folks on SoWal asking for employment, so I posted the Aerotek opportunity. I ran across it in a Pensacola article.

Perhaps you should also post contact information for this "similar company" so that those interested can contact them....

Thanks!

The company I am aware of is in another state and isn't hiring. Currently all positions are filled. I realize that many are looking for and desperately need jobs to support their families. My intention wasn't anything other than to inform job seekers that other options exist and if they hold the proper credentials they can likely shop around to find an employer willing to hire them to do the same thing for more money.
