I bet he's never had a day's worry over how to pay for his health care or worry that if he gets sick how he would pay for his hospital bills.

no - he ACTUALLY said he would seek health care in costa rica if obamacare is passed. some american doctors are setting up private clinics/hospitals there.

If the U.S. Congress passes health care reform, Limbaugh will leave the country to receive his medical treatment.

Well there's a quote from the article.

Can you please tell me you and others call it Obamacare? I don't get that. I mean, IMO it just sounds disrespectful considering he is our President and he is trying to get health care for Americans. Seems that even those who don't agree with his politics would try and at least see the motive behind this - and that is simply that many many people do not have health care and many many people lose it if they lose their jobs (my son for example) and many are denied due to pre-existing conditions. He's trying IMO but often he is up against a brick wall.

I just don't like the term Obamacare. I find it lacks the respect that our President deserves. It isn't like he is trying to do something evil..... :dunno:

Edit: After re-reading your post I think that you aren't calling it that, but that that is what Rush calls it. Anyway, my question still stands for those who do use that term.

Sorry for the confusion.... :D

The end does not justify the means in this case. The solutions being presented are partisan, they don't address cost inflation well enough, they represent a massive taxpayer give away to various industries that have lobbied the democrats very successfully, they include a national mandate, and a massive expansion of various entitlements with very little cost control. We would all like to see some issues like dropped coverage and pre-existing conditions addressed, but bankrupting the nation in order to solve them isn't the answer.

No, he actually said (listen for yourself on the link) "I will leave the country"

I posted the original item because I thought it was funny...oh well.

I love Costa Rica and many Americans retire there. Makes sense for docs to set up practices there, too. I mean, why not? Right?

as far as health care goes heres the bottom line. the vast majority of americans have it threw there work and want no changes. those that are self employed or uninsured want the obama changes. i've been on both sides and screamed for a decade when i was paying $1300 a month being self employed. now i have it threw my work and pay $250 a month and i want no changes. its the facts of life as people will vote whats best for them

It is funny.;-) But somehow I don't think we will get that lucky.

I do wonder how someone like Rush would survive outside the USA.
