Wanted Opinions on Street Legal Golf Cart

Any recommendations on where I can get the best buy on a pre-owned one? I've already checked Craigslist. The ones listed by the Electric Cart Company online are ~$5000, and I don't know whether I can get a better price somewhere else.

I mainly want it for carting the kids and piles of beach gear to/from the neighborhood beach access (crossing 30A), and I have been apprehensive about getting a regular cart b/c of the risk of getting lots of tickets (for driving a non-street legal cart across 30A). But it seems like paying for tickets may be cheaper than the cost difference b/t a street legal and regular cart.

You might be able to get one cheaper, but there's no way to know you're not buying a lemon.

Crossing the street doesn't seem to be the issue, it's the intrepid explorers that want to drive from Rosemary to Grayton.
