orchid addicts?

I am new to this area of Florida, having lived most of my life in Central Florida. I have a passion for growing and showing orchids, and having been in Central Florida, this was easy to do as there are orchid groups and growers on every street corner. I have been disappointed about the lack of groups, societies etc... in the panhandle area, so I decided to ask around to see if there was any interest in starting a group or AOS society in this area. Looking for some feedback, so if we have any closet orchid addicts out there I would love to hear from you. I am not sure if there is a garden club located in the santa rosa beach area, but if there is, does anyone have contact info?

Many years ago I was a marketing director for several malls in Clearwater/St. Pete. One of the events that drew the biggest crowds was the Orchid Bromeliad Society. It was a beautiful show.

At the time I never knew there was such a love for orchids! It certainly was an education for me. Now I notice them everywhere I go!

Hopefully you'll soon find a society in your new area.

yes, there is a Garden Club and there are people who grow Orchids. Contact Doris at the Coastal Branch Library...she has wonderful orchids.
