Anyone have any favorites? I would like to see Martin Scorsese get an Oscar, and I really like Abigail Breslin. She proved that sweet and sincere goes a long way.

Red carpet time soon!

I didn't watch the Oscars. I don't care to much for them. But I do love Diane Keaton, she and Meryl Streep are my most favorite female actors. Tootsie, have you seen "Somethings Gotta Give". Diane was fantastic in this movie and so was Jack Nicholson. It is one my favorites. If any of you have not seen it, it is very good. IMHO.

...and it's on the beach. That beach house is beautiful

yes, I've seen it. and Family Stone - loved it. and I'll see any and every movie she's in... even the recent one (Because I said So) and I hear its not that great, but still gotta see it!

Because I Said So . . . . not great, but definitely worth seeing if you are a Keaton fan.

ok people, i will be the debbie downer here - we watched the last 1 1/2 hrs and i think this could possibly be the most godawful boring oscars i have seen in years. ellen was soooo boring from what i saw, there were no racy gowns, no controversies, ho hummmmmmm.......

i thought queen latifah looked really nice. sorry, i think reese looks like a ferret with her pinched little face (just my opinion, i know everyone else likes her). thank god martin scorsese won so everybody will quit whining about him...what's up with a bald jack nicholson ? leo looked particularly hot, as did marky mark.

and my big question of the evening? how much money was represented on the stage when george lucas, frances ford coppola and steven spielberg all were presenting together ??? i suspect more than i can imagine - and i can imagine a lot !

reporters and radio people are predicting jerry seinfeld will be hosting next year - you know what would be great ? george carlin hosting the oscars....wow  that would be a night to remember...

Mr Lucky said the same thing when Martin walked off with them!

I thought Diane Keaton looked incredible last night. Thanks for taking those silly gloves off Diane. And Helen Mirren looked great.

Overall, I wasn't too impressed with anyone. We've seen all of those dresses before. No one stood out except for Helen Mirren. I am so sick of hearing about Dreamgirls I could scream.

I thought Ellen did a fantastic job hostessing the oscars last night.
She was delightful and seemed to be at ease throughout the whole show.
Hoping they consider her for next year.

Good job Ellen..............:clap_1:

Loved Diane Keaton. Loved Penelope Cruz. Loved Jennifer Hudson--and I think she fell out of the dress too. I thought George Clooney was the most handsome man.

He was with her in the audience.....I noticed. She seems to trip over her words somewhat in interviews. I think she is very insecure. Why!!!!!

she probably was made to feel inferior in all her years with tom, and still can't shake that feeling...or maybe she just gets really nervous when being interviewed live :idontno:

Yea, you're probably right. She is much comfortable when she is acting. She did say in her interview on the Oprah special that she wants to get pregnant!!! Yea!!

Seems like lots of movie stars and models confess feelings of insecurity. Usually it's because they were unconventionally pretty or unusually tall at a young age; feeling insecure during adolescence is a hard thing to overcome! :(

Penelope Cruz- best dress for sure. And Helen Mirren. I liked Cameron Diaz' dress- but unfortunately she was in it. Little Abigail looked darling- very age appropriate.

I thought Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts looked like they just signed up to guest star on The Wiggles (the red and yellow thing - Australians stick together ya know). Yes, the red was pretty, but the bow was cartoonish and looked like she could either hide things or barf into the one plopped like a bowl on her shoulder. Her hair was so severe- she looked like Jessica Rabbit (that flat ironed severe straight look got really old last night). Naomi in a yellow dress- what an awful look. Add a hat and she has a getup like Queen Elizabeth wears to tea.

Gwyneth got my thumbs down too- I didn't like the color or style- she is such a pretty girl, but not last night. She had "Nicole" hair too- I think they called each other and planned it.

Clooney never looks bad. I'm worried that Al Gore is going to explode- how much does he weigh now??? Scorcese looked like he got a special dye and blowout for his eyebrows. Clive Owen- sigh.

Ellen did a fine job- I like her style.

February 26, 2007 -- IT was pandemonium at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Oscar-viewing party sponsored by Mercedes-Benz last night when Forest Whitaker nailed the statuette for "The Last King of Scotland." Whitaker's mother, brother and other family members cried and hugged each other in the hotel ballroom before the misty eyes of a black-tie crowd that included power-publicist Lara Shriftman, who hosted; "The Office" and "Ugly Betty" producer Ben Silverman, Men's Health editor Dave Zinczenko, Dan Abrams, Ren?e Zellweger's manager John Carrabino, producer Mary Parent and Linda Foster and Kathy Griffin. Many of the women had come early to get their hair done by Jessica Simpson's mane man, Ken Paves, and their makeup by Sue Devitt.

:clap_1: I love Diane Keaton too, with or without her gloves. That scream when she was on the window cleaning thing with Goldie and Bette. Makes me :rolling: . I gotta check out this one. BTW, what is IMHO?

IMHO = In My Humble Opinion

Though you've probably been around here enough to know that the "humble" part should be loosely interpreted.
