...into our second week. Occasional splurge but what are we saving it for?
Been to Bud & Alleys, Nick's, Modica's, Seagrove Market, Amavida, Great Southern, Publix, Barefoot BBQ, Pizza by the Sea, Wine World for food.
Only one disappointment, old fries in a to go order.
Had lunch for the first time at B&A in a long time on our first Saturday here. Apparently alot of folks who are waiting for their rental, do the same thing. The new area looks like it should have always been there. Night time was really busy.
Pecan encrusted fish sandwich is really good at Great Southern. Everything we have there is good.
Simple cheest pizza at Pizza by the Sea was good.
Wine World, chartuerie (?) plate was much much better than one we had 'back home' at Blind Pig. Cabernet flight went nicely with it. Very nice, boutique like bar area.
Love the Modica HH wine for sipping around Seaside
Enjoying the Grayton IPA when we can find it
Riding our bikes, walking, going to the beach, sitting on the porch, eating, drinking, that's about it.
Wonderful weather. Nice breeze every day. Makes walking around Seaside at night absolutely wonderful (and romantic).
There is June grass but the past few days, the waves have been a little rougher and voila, hardly any June grass.
Not that many people here? One line of umbrellas/chairs, towels and not all Seaside chairs are full.
Disappointed in the condition of our rental; 3rd time we stayed here. It looked like someone stayed here after they cleaned. Called and complained, took pictures. Maintenance person came down to repair the closet. Love the house,so....dilema.
Of course, the death of the young visitor from Georgia stays with you. We're about 2 miles from the area. So sorry and thinking of the family.
People seem to be well behaved. The children amaze me. Excuse me, good morning, etc. Hardly any issues.
So as usual coming down here is idyllic and are nice memories to take with us.
The web cams are especially fun. We sat across from the Red Bar one the other night and posted on Facebook. Friends, who have since joined us, saw us! Others couldn't access.
Oysters? We've been eating them, then went somewhere the other night, and they wouldn't serve them - weather is too warm. I know back home restaurants didn't serve oysters during the months without Rs. Are the other restaurants trying to kill us? Or the other restaurant too cautious?
Also, the water is incredible on my hair. A very minor side note.
