Driving behind garage-salers on my way to work! This usually happens on Wednesday mornings during the spring-summer-early fall months; some of these people drive 5 miles an hour on a two lane road looking for the next garage sale sign and then slam on their brakes as soon as they see one. Can't pass them either, because sometimes they make a left turn without warning. Aargh!:bang:

What were they thinking?

So, my granddaughter and I are at the Ft Panic beach yesterday late...she has her sand pail, shovel, towel and I have my beach chair....we get up to play in the waves and when we come back:

Someone has draped a half closet full of clothes over my chair, parked an overflowing beach bag by my chair and this crowd of people are standing there yapping.

Turns out they were there for a photographer. White shirts, etc.

One of the men in the group said, "Oh, we put our stuff on your chair....."

No "Im sorry, Excuse me..." Nothing. And then as my granddaughter and I tried to reclaim our space on the beach....they continued to stand there discussing which shirt to wear for which picture!

The beach was not particularly crowded...it was 6 p.m. What a rude bunch of people! It was hard to explain to a 4 year old -- she kept asking why did those people take your chair, Granma....they didn't even ask permission!

I swear some people park their manners and their brains at the state line....:bang:

MY biggest pet peeve:

BAD TABLE MANNERS.

I have lost a few 'friends' and one boyfriend after I couldn't stand going out to eat with them. I mean- eating/talking with your mouth open/full of food, elbows on the table, stabbing/sholveling your food, sticking fingers in cheese dip, etc... OMG. It makes me cringe. :yikes:

A little  to admit this but...no matter how many times I've told my daughter (13) she stabs at her food!!! I can't tell you how this irks me. I blame it on eating in the school cafeteria! What ever parents have taught goes right out the window!!!! I was :yikes:whenever I would join them for lunch at school. I know they only have a certain amount of time to eat but that is no excuse for bad manners! I hope if I correct this enough she will stop. :dunno:

ahhh 13, what an age! U R lucky if that' s her only little rebel behavior. Maybe if you try the opposite and now that she knows how you feel, do your hardest to ignore it when she does it, she won't do it so much. Does that make any sense? Sounds like she's wanting your 'special' attention one way or another? 13 is such a transitional age. Maybe you 2 could do something special together just the 2 of you, like a hobby or just a movie?   Try to focus her on the good things she does aloud to her more than usual. Maybe that will help.
