That’s great- we just went to look- and all the courts were full but the rules on the notice board outside state ‘play one game and come off if someone is waiting ..’ .. and there’s a system of placing paddles in a line to be next on.
Shame they didn’t build more courts as this was the only facility with anyone using it, in the entire complex! But it’s a start! Thankyou SOW!

Paddle racks are coming soon.
It seems on a daily basis the courts are full at 8am - noon. Most players are 3.0+ skill level in the morning. I think they are pretty wide open at other times.

They are building one at Legion Park, but there is room for more if they remove the never used sand volley ball court.

Staying nearby all next week. Can anyone advise "busy times" for the Pickleball courts? When is best time to pick up games if there's only a couple of us? Congrats on the new courts too! Last time we had to drive through Destin to Ft. Walton to get a game! Also what are the hours and is there a drop in fee? We'll have a couple of 3.5 and a couple of 2.5's!

Keep in mind some basics about Walton County facilities:

They are not restricted to any particular group or club.

You do not have to be or prove residency to use them.

While they can be reserved for private functions, it cannot be an ongoing permanent reservation, parks and recreation will post a notice if it is reserved.

There is no minimum skill level required to play.

There is no fee to use pickle ball courts at any county maintained park.

No fee. Daily around 8:00am 2.5 - 4.5 players show up. Usually pretty busy until 11:00am. Fairly wide open after that. Courts are available 8am - 9pm daily.
