Brought visiting 90-year-old mom in tonight for her first-ever pizza at PBTS. And Caesar salad. Everything was just great - wonderful pizza (LOVE that crust), terrific salad, awesome service from the inestimable Colby. It really doesn't get any better than that - a great meal with family. Thanks all!

Pizza by the Sea was hopping last night! Had to have my Kickin' Chicken pizza fix- we saw lots and lots of pizzas going out that door! We got there early enough to get a table, but they were turning fairly quickly last night. The great staff kept things moving!;-)

Ate there last night and it took an unacceptable 50 minutes to get our pizza.People in my party were steaming mad. Another thing that irked me was the wait to order the pizza. it took a good 10 minutes as there were 10 kids single ordering ahead of me.They had another register and weren't using it which i didn't understand. The place is very small and it was my first time there. No complaints on the pizza as it was good.

Welcome to Atlanta spring break week. I haven't been to any place, including Publix, that wasn't nuts this week. We got lucky and got to PBTS early last night, but totally expected to be waiting due to the number of tourists in town.

Same here jdarg....no going anywhere on Atlanta Spring Break week!!! Especially Easter weekend. :yikes: I feel for Pizza by the Sea....I know that kind of craziness and no matter how hard you work or even how many people are at a register the kitchen can only go so fast. God Bless them!!!! And, it's so hard to turn people away....sometimes it just happens and it's hard to get a handle on it all.

Their pizza rocks!!!

What is so good about it? Is it thick or thin crust? What kind of cheese do they use? I'm from St. Louis and like a thin crust with melted provolone.

the most wonderful thin and crispy crust ever; terrific sauce; lots of cheese (but i don't know what kind). great, fresh toppings.

we have good italian on cincinnati's westside at larosa's - but pizza by the sea is MUCH better! :D

They use one of the top Cheeses which escapes my memory. IIRC it is a mozzarella and provolone blend.

Type of Cheese

Yummy, thank you for always being so kind to us. Our cheese is a natural, whole milk Mozzarella. We also lace it with a touch of Romano. The brand is Grande...the absolute standard for the pizza industry. Last I checked, I am one of only two or three in the entire panhandle that are willing to pay the price for the good stuff.

We are proud of our pizza and I hope you come and try it.
