aviod the places with the tourist crowd. i found out that they usually up prices and it takes awhile to get your food unless you are a patron.

I disagree with you about the first 2, although I haven't been to the first in quite awhile I remember it as charming with decent prices. I have never had to wait there either. How many times have you been? Maybe it's gotten smaller and pricier.

You are way off base on the second. They have some of the finest food in the area. How many times have you been and what did you eat?

You are entitled to your opinions and to post them here but if you are going to go negative you should elaborate - something more than "not that great".

Besides, we would rather hear about places you like, and why.

Well now that you've changed your post I guess I'll have to delete this thread.

I should have known since you say the food is bad but your opinion is "based mostly on the crowd that hangs there". If you don't like tourists at your restaurants, don't go out to eat here in the Summer. Or continue to try places until you figure out when and where to go. Then come back here and let us know.

This looks like it was originally like the other rant that came out a couple of days ago.

I know it must be rough living in a tourist town during the summer, but, honestly, every place has its pros and cons. The Watercolor Publix during the week isn't nearly as traumatic as the Kroger 2 miles from my house from noon to 7 every weekday, and I don't dare venture in there before 10 p.m. on Sunday. Our local Panera is also unbearable between noon and 2 during the week and impossible on Sundays. Most of the restaurants are crazy on weekends around here, too.

And I live in a small town, with no claim to tourism...

So take a couple of deep breaths. It'll be alright!

At least you guys don't have the type of tourists that come to Nashville. No offense if you are one of them.

Not that I'm complaining or anything...they bring needed revenue to the city. :D

TRUE DAT!!! The locals in Nashville are bad enough! :funn: Every time I left the safety of my home I felt like I was risking my very life, and I had to go to the grocery store EVERY night after 10. The Hillsboro Kroger and the Compton's Foodland (no longer on the corner of Blair :sosad:) just got used to me showing up in my pajamas. :D
