After reading the rental agreement here I would be a little cautious. The sample rental agreement is from pages 6-7. It is also clearly not written by someone with a legal degree and has many vague references to immoral activity and just drugs, not illicit drugs, but apparently drugs in general. No aspirin or prescription drugs I guess.

Some statements that stood out to me:

-$125.00 cancellation fee if canceled with more than 30 days notice
-No refund period if canceled less than 30 days notice (this is highway robbery if the unit is re-booked)
-In addition the owners contract only requires a 30 day notice to terminate the rental management. Most companies require 90 days on either part to prevent an entire season of renters being moved or canceled.
-Smoking clause is vague and if you have smokers with you verify what they mean by smoking in the unit, this can sometimes mean balconies.
-No refunds for inclement weather. I don't mean rain, but there is no exception for hurricanes. It also clearly refers to "severe weather".

Finally, while they do have a local address listed through sunbiz.org it is a UPS store in Destin. All of the listed officers have addresses out of state and I wasn't able to find a single local phone number on their website. I would be extremely leery of this company.

The above is not intended to be a negative review, rather a critical look at a rental company.

Has anyone had experience renting a vacation rental from Platinum Properties Management...www.ppmgt.net?
I rented a condo from them last year and was satisfied . I now receive a monthly newlsletter from them but did not rent rent again from them. I had no complaints though.
