Ongoing problem with daytime burglaries along 30A. Suspect was in our area of Seagrove last week. One in The Grove on 2-1 and in Barcelona on 2-5. Suspect entered Barcelona home during daytime hours as resident was in the home. Neighborhood search ensued, but suspect evaded officers.

Please keep your home doors locked at all times! Be aware of suspicious activity & people in your neighborhood. Especially someone posing as a handyman, plumber, etc.. Don't want to create panic, but lets all be aware as this is an ongoing problem.

We live in a gated area. Someone in our neighborhood heard her dog barking one morning while she was asleep. I heard that her husband didn't lock the door when he left. I mean, it's a gated neighborhood. The perp opened her door then left when he saw her. I always keep our doors locked and always have the burglar alarm on when I'm home alone. When hubby is home, we turn on the alarm when we're upstairs and/or at dusk, even though we live in a gated neighborhood. Oh, and keep your vehicle doors locked, even in the daytime. I just got a carry license. I also keep Hot Shot Wasp and Hornet Spray by my bed and in the car after someone pulled a gun on me at a gas station. The spray has a 27' range, so you can't miss and it knocks a person out. Our daughter was filling up her car and some men tried to kidnap her. She pulled out the gas nozzle, jumped into her car, and took off. I told her to get wasp spray too.

Great idea. I would also suggest bear spray because, like the hornet spray, it covers a great distance and sets up a mist cloud.

This hits way too close to home. I have several friends and relatives who live off of 30A. I can't believe he has still not been caught! Please always be aware of your surroundings and keep your doors locked, alarms on! Our company has put several alarms in homes & businesses in the area lately...which include motion detectors and cameras. I'm hoping this will help to get this person behind bars soon so that the community can feel better!! Please also remind any renters/vacationers in the area who may not know about this to keep their eye out. Together we can catch this guy!
