Hello All?We?re planning to add a pool to our Seagrove house and would appreciate any feedback on your experience with any of the local pool construction companies. (including those that I should stay away from.) This will be a rental property and we?re considering vinyl to help reduce the cost, however we?ve been told we?ll experience continuous repair problems due to the abuse inflicted by renters. Has anyone experienced problems with their vinyl pool liner due to renters?
Also? The kitchen cabinets are in good shape, however they need new doors and drawer faces. I know a guy in Atlanta that makes new doors out of MDF and then uses a router to make them look like raised panel doors and they?re very reasonable. Can anyone recommend a local cabinetmaker that may be able to do the same? Thank you so much.

I can recommend to stay as far away from Cox Pools as you can. Worse experience I have ever had!!! You could not pay me enough money to conduct business with them ever again!!!!!!!

I'm not sure which Cox Pools you are referring but the one in Panama City has provided me with great service. Our private pool was put in by the builder before we bought the house but we have had a heater added and some service done on the euipment and COx was great.

What kind of problems did you have with Cox specifically?

They built my pool and destroyed everything they touched. They even drove a backhoe THROUGH the back of my house and their insurance didn't pay to fix it!

I never gave them the chance to service anything since they broke everything they touched.

We work for a pool company that does resurfacing and remodeling to pools, spas and decks. We don't actually build them, we just make them pretty again. However, we were thinking that perhaps our office manager, Linda, could provide you with a recommendation. Please feel free to give her a call and maybe she can lead you in the right direction.

For those of you needing to have work done, please keep in mind that we offer free estimates. Now is the time to do the work to get ready for Spring. After we schedule the work to be done, provided there are no extreme issues, it is our goal to have you back swimming in 3-5 days. We've heard a mixed review of the local pool companys. Many of them subcontract their work out so that quality is naturally going to differ from job to job. If you were to choose to work with us, please understand that WE DO NOT SUBCONTRACT. All of our workers are employed by the company and we are members of the National Plasterers Society. We use only the best products and warranty our work. We service pools from Panama City to Navarre.

If interested, give us a call.

I have heard numerous stories, most not so good, about Cox Pools. I think many of them are price related. Cox does seem to almost have a monopoly on the pool business in the area. I know a couple of contractors who have recently gone into the pool business in addition to home building, because the bids which they were receiving to install pools was ridiculous compared to the price for which they could build them. I will be happy to pass along a contact number if you are interested in getting a quote. -- Just pm me.

We used Cox for the new pool at the big yellow house directly north and across 30a from DuneAllen access. It is a fine pool and they did a great job.
Our salesman Brian was a great communicator and organizer. That might be the key.
