Several of these washed up on Blue Mountain Beach this morning! Yikes!!

Wow, this is the first time I've ever seen the whole creature with 'tentacles' still intact!

Sat one one, at night, when I was a kid. The crabs were running, and a bunch of us were out there loading up. I took a break and sat right on the tentacles. Let me tell you that getting branded with an iron probably wouldn't hurt as much. I had marks for months...

Those are beautiful pics!
I saw one yesterday about a mile west of Alys Beach, and a few more this morning in the same area--there were enough to make me skip my usual post-run dunk in the surf. Hope the wind changes before a whole flotilla of them wash up!
