I may be the first man in the history of the internet to put up a post like this, but.....

Little Sam just pooped in the toilet for the first time. For those who don't know, Sam has high-functioning autism. For a 21/2-year-old with Autism, this is a major, major deal.

Little fella looked me straight in the eye and said "need poo poo." I took him in the bathroom, put his little potty seat on and he did his bidness.

To quote George Costanza, I busting, Jerry, busting.

Unusual that he pooped in the potty before he peed in it (he actually peed all over me in the process). I guesss we'll take what we can get.

Congrats, when my neice was going thru potty training it was hell. The funny thing is that you'll look back on this and laugh.

Gratzi. What's unusual is, most little boys pee in the toilet before they poop. I have no idea how to accomplish that. At this point, we'll take the small victories and go from there.

for ANY 2 1/2 yr old, it's a BIG deal. Go Sam!! We are hoping to potty train #2 earlier than we achieved it with #1 -- simply because the end of diapers is in sight!
