Okay, I just came back from a walk on the beach and there was a faint rainbow ring around the sun. No, I have not ingested any illegal substances.

After looking up at the Sun to see, I am now seeing yellow and white spots everywhere. No rainbow here. 
This is pretty common on a bright cold day. Ice crystals in the wispy cirrus clouds scatter light like the prism on the Dark Side of the Moon album cover.
It was 60-some degrees. Was that cold enough? (Well, I suppose it was chillier up there.) ;-)

I've never seen one around the sun.
That's pretty cool Cil. :clap_1: Maybe I have seen it, just the colors weren't vivid enough. I have seen them around the moon. I think the ones around the sun are called Sun Dogs.

Yes, I did see it last night when I let Elwood out for a bathroom break.
