I am going to Ireland in April with work! I had my very first passport picture taken today. That's right....I've NEVER been out of the country.

YEA!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful time SM. How long will you be there?

Here is my good news. After sleeping on Select Comfort, Sleep number bed for the the past few years and it totally crippling my back, I am getting rid of that piece of crap tomorrow!!!! AND, I am getting my new Sealy Posturpedic top of the line mattresses delivered as well tomorrow. I can't wait to go to bed tomorrow night. Here is how bad it has gotten with the Select Comfort, I can't even bend over to shave my legs in the mornings.

You know those commercials where they say "Oh, you will wake up feeling refreshed and you will never have back pain again". It is a crock of sheeit. I know you are asking "Why did you keep it so long"? Well, I was stupid. I spent a lot of $$ on it and I had to get my money out of it. I did and I am done with it.

When I laid down on the Sealy in the store I asked the sales lady if I could bring my sheets and pillows and sleep in the store until I got mine. It was HEAVEN I tell you, HEAVEN. I am so excited. I will let you know how I sleep tomorrow night. Sweet Dreams.

I. Love. My. Mattress.

Jamison middle-of-the-line. I worked with a friend in his furniture business for a while, and he introduced me to Jamison mattresses. Tempurpedic actually bought their mattresses from Jamison, who originally came up with the all-foam mattress.

The top-of-the-line latex foam mattresses ($1000 for the set) are too squishy, I think. I've house-sat for folks with them, and they tend to get body dents in them.

Only about the top 1/3 of mine is latex, and the other 2/3 is basically carpentry foam. That makes it firmer. On top of that, I have a Laura Ashley pillow-top mattress pad. I never wake up sore. (Unless I sleep directly on my shoulder, like I did a couple of nights ago. No mattress will fix klutzy sleeping.)

I also have a latex gel pillow. I like it, too, but have noticed that I drool like a Saint Bernard on that pillow. I don't drool on regular pillows--I think it's because this pillow is so firm. ?
