South Walton Fire District:

We're recognizing two divisions of incredible SWFD men and women during National EMS Week (May 21-27) and National Beach Safety Week (May 22-29).

Whether they work in a lifeguard tower or an ambulance, our personnel understand the daily expectations of the community, as well as the inherent risks of their job.

SWFD Beach Safety and Advanced Life Support (ALS) crews strive to work seamlessly together despite their different "office" environments, knowing lifeguards often serve as the first, vital link in the chain of survival for beach-based medical emergencies.

Even when deployed to areas of natural disasters, SWFD ALS crews lead the way, prioritizing patient care, positive outcomes, and quick response times.

This job isn't easy, but it's what we love. We will do whatever it takes to make your "worst day" better.

Please join us this week in honoring the men and women of SWFD EMS and Beach Safety, who personify the 2023 #NationalEMSWeek theme "Where Emergency Care Begins" in South Walton County, Florida. It is our honor and privilege to serve you.
