Dr. Henry in Destin is great, :clap_1: but if he still has the same office mgr. from 6 mos. ago, she's a nut case! :bang:

I had personally spoken with him about seeing me, though he wasn't in my providor network. Then, on my next visit, she procedes to "berate and abuse me", like I was trying to pull a scam, over my Ins. company. :nono1:

I even demanded to speak with him about it and couldn't. I finally left, requesting him to call me and needless to say, he never did! :nono1: I kinda got the impression, that she wore the pants and he didn't have alot of back bone! Whatever happened to "customer's always right? :dunno: If you can avoid "the plague", he'll be great!

Need a good recommendation for a chiropractor in our area. No it was not a surfing injury. :rotfl:

Thanks Diana4145 I can deal with his office manager, since I have to deal with the credit bureau people everyday. They are the worse! Most of these guys want you to keep coming back for treatments month after month. More money to them. They do not want to make a simple adjustment. I do not mind going three or four times if necessary. Had a good chiropractor in Atlanta that could make one adjustment and you were done.

thanks again hutch

Is there any way a Chiropractor can help out with pinched nerves? I've got one in my lower back and I have been thinking about checking one out. I'm tired of the "take ibuprofen" diagnoses I keep getting.

That may be more of a stretching and massage thing. My roommate had one and she always made me rub her back and do pilates and yoga.

That may be what it is. It is the nerve that pregnant women fuss about so much. Syatic nerve (i don't know if that's how it is spelled.)

It is in my lower back almost at the top of my butt.

LL - Kimmitunn is correct, some times a massage on your back will help a syatic nerve. But a good chiropractor can make one adjustment and you are healed. Syatic nerve is also my problem. A friend of mine is a doctor. His advise take two Motrin and couple large shots of vodka. Works for a short time and cheaper than going to a doctor. :rotfl:

Mine will be fine for a while and then I move a certain way and I am rendered into a useless piece of flesh. I can't do a dang thing. I've gotta get this thing worked out.

Do you have a pain in your butt? I do...probably payback for the pain I have been! Beware of those drugs! I am under the care of a spine dr. I have had neck and lower back (sciatic) problems that come and go. I used to take Advil...until I almost burned out my stomach recently! That was some bad news...no more Advil! Now I have Darvocet...sounds better than it really is. I even have my own neck traction machine. The PT has given me lots of exercises, but the very best thing is a good deep massage by someone who knows what they are doing to release the muscles that tense and spasm and then some ice packs. A good chiropractor is hard to find...good luck LL!
