Our 2 yr. old Kenmore refigerator freezer is dripping water down into the crisper drawers. Mary Esther Sears store seems pretty far away for getting service. (?) Is it still our best bet or does anyone know of a good local repairman? Thanks in advance.

If you've got an in-door water dispenser, it may be the plastic tubing that carries the water to the door has come lose or has sprung a leak. If you think this is the case, turn off the water line going into the fridge--if it stops the problem, you may be able to get the part and have someone handy just pop a new one in.

THANK GOD MY HUSBAND HAS A PH.D. IN ENGINEERING! If it weren't for that, we could *never* get anything fixed. He repairs literally everything that needs repairing at our homes because all of the repairmen that come out to fix stuff are totally clueless. If it weren't for him, we'd just have to trash our AC, dishwasher, or whatever, and buy new ones. He saves us a boatload of money with his skills - helps with the kajillion dollars per year that our homeowners insurance in SoWal now costs.

I think I'll faint now, just thinking about the premiums we just had to sign up for after having our previous insurance cancelled, thanks to all of the hurricanes.

ours was the stupid icemaker where it runs into the little trough - turned off the water and it stopped (makes sense I suppose as that's about the only source of water going to the fridge) - had the sears man come out and he tugged at it once to fix it then hit us with a bill for 200.00 that included travel expenses both ways as we live over 40 miles from the 'service center' - be sure to ask first, and while you're at it look for ice blocking the water flow trough thingy in the icemaker and other places where the water goes - it aint at all mysterious once you poke around - good luck

Our tenants had been trying to mess with the icemaker in an attempt to figure it out.
:clap_1: I just got an e-mail from them that the drain tube was clogged with some ice. It took them about an hour to finally clear it. They think that may do the trick.
Yea for tenants who are "handy"! We'll have to reward them.
(We had pine straw delivered over Thanksgiving and when we got there to spread it, he had done it for us!) These are the kind of tenants to have.

By the way he will be opening a deli/sandwich shop this spring in Rosemary Beach.

Good landlords make for good tenants in your case, Rita! I'm sure he'll be glad that you will spread the word about his new deli when it opens. I know I'll be there...yumm yumm a Reuben sandwich at the beach....
