Hello from stinky and dusty, but sunny, New Orleans.
I am back home (finally!) and will start teaching in a few weeks. I am planning a gathering of displaced colleagues and friends in the SoWal area for the week beginning May 21st.
I love the SoWal area--especially Grayton, where I have stayed at the State Park twice. I also love Seagrove, although it looked to be getting pretty developed the last time I was there. I'm looking for some rental recommendations for a group of 12-14 adults, preferably in a less-developed area. Because several of my colleagues lost their jobs, I am also hoping to find something in the $2000-range. I think we'll need 5 BRs, and we'd love Gulf Front (obviously,) and a pool, (and, and, and! :funn: ). What we most want, though, is to be together. I'd love to hear about your favorite places to be together in So-Wal--a nice place with even nicer views... Advice?
Thanks... and thanks for thinking of us. I've read with interest your Katrina-offers. It means a lot to us here to have had the support of others in the Gulf Coast area.
