It's always been interesting to me that despite some of the greatest military minds and armies being gay this crap still goes on.

It's always been interesting to me that despite some of the greatest military minds and armies being gay this crap still goes on.

Whenever one of my friends or family members tell me that they don't believe gays should serve then I say - ok, then is your son or daughter going to take their place? That shuts them up.

I know quite a few veterans that are gay - they proudly served but carefully hid their orientation until their service was over.

Which is what many do. What is sad is when they are "found out" and then kicked out. Or if they decide to openly state they are gay just to challenge the law and then are kicked out.
