Royal B Closed

We heard today Royal B closed down, I dont think they were there a year. Too bad because they had great food.

They had good food sometimes and not good food other times. Very inconsistent IME and for the price, inconsistency just doesn't cut it... It's sad, but probably not the last...

Not sure if it's good or bad that we didn't get there often enough to see any inconsistances!

They add the "s" to the end of "restaurant." Seems as though the site is still running, but that means very little.

Ate there the week they first opened, fantastic service and wonderful food, plus extremely large portions; however, price was quite high. I am curious to see if this is really happening or if they've "closed" temporarily for something else.

The DBPR hasn't closed them down, in fact they've passed there most recent inspection. :scratch:

Don't they have another location in Windmark?

I just spoke with a colleague who works for a restaurant in Santa Rosa Beach, and he tells me that they have in fact closed. Anyone hear anything definitive otherwise?

Drove by this afternoon and Destin Lock was parked by the front door. Don't know if that means anything or not.

My guess - they expanded too fast - Commander's Palace, RoyalB, School Of Fish - and they decided 2 locations in Destin weren't going to cut it. Or maybe they got such sweet deals for the other 2 locations from Bos and Joe that RoyalB got cut. Either way probably smart to cut it off quick if it was bleeding.
