Ruth was a wonderful lady. Her husband Bill passed away a few years back. She has 3 children- Ellen, Beverly, and William. I wanted to post this because many of the people who were here, or visited here in the 1950's through the 1990's will have many fond memories of Ruth. I don't know all the details yet, but I think there is going to be a service for her in Pt. Washington this weekend. I know many of the oldtimers can remember sitting on her porch in Grayton, with her telling many funny stories and jokes. I will miss her.

Thanks for letting us know of Mrs. Wardlaw's passing. She was a very nice lady, with a nice family. I remember the children well. Little Ellen was the girl that every boy in the County had a mad crush on. She looked like a younger version of her equally attractive cousin, Tyrene. They had a nice family history in South Walton.

Please post any information about a service for her in Pt. Washington this weekend as soon as possible.

Oh yes, I grew up with the Wardlaw kids at Grayton. We were all over the place! In recent years, #4 met her grandaughter twins from Gwinnett County and hung out. So sad to hear of Ruth's passing. Lot's of memories there.

Please keep us updated...I remember Ruth and Mary B well ! When they would get together with Aunt Peggy and Aunt Ollie Sue, they were a hoot!

I saw in the Daily News where Mary B's husband Tom, who remarried after her death, passed away just a couple of weeks ago.

So many gone now... :sosad:
