most likely. It certainly will mean no investigation as far as the Legislature is concerned; they have no authority over him now that he is no longer a Member. So, any others that may have been involved, are now off the hook too...at least temporarily.

Is this for real? That just because he quits, they can't look into allegations of wrongdoing while he was in office? Or is it more like they WON'T?

The meeting lasted only minutes. Sansom attorney Glorida Fletcher afterward said the process was unfair because Sansom faces an ongoing criminal case and invoked his right to not testify (nor would co-defendants Jay Odom and Bob Richburg). She blasted it as politically motivated.
