Scallops in Cape San Blas, anyone get any?

I was wondering if anyone has been scalloping yet. Last year we went to cape san blas around the state park and could not find even 1 scallop in 2 days. I've heard there is supposed to be a "bumper crop" this year. I was hoping someone has been and could share how it was this year so far.
Some friends and I are considering going next weekend.

went with some friends last weekend and found more than enough scallops.
water was beautiful. saw a few sharks, sea turtles, caught a small bounty of fish.
snorkeling, saw seahorses, starfish, sea urchins, and blowfish.
good times to be had at "the blas". enjoy.

Yes, scallop season is open. Saw local news reports on Friday or Saturday from Port St Joe, saying that there were many people out scalloping and reports are good for a hearty scallop season.
