Seaside Florida changes on Central Square at 45 Central - a triple row of Elms (18 total) is replacing the handful of cabbage palms. New pavers, tables and chairs will create a nice space for resting and sipping.
The soft shapes and bright green leaves are a nice contrast to the modern Lyceum building. The mini Seaside grove will provide welcome shade to a spot on the square that has always been baked hard by the SoWal sun most of the year.
Our brief Fall may turn the leaves and bring a little autumn color to the square. The bare branches during our 10-week Winter will let the sun keep us warm while the building shields us from north winds.
