Seaside Neighborhood School is a Public Charter school - it is part of the Walton County Public School System and is free to attend - however there are more students who apply than can be accepted, so there is a lottery system for grades 5-8. The school is accepting lottery applications as of January 6 through April 1st, 2014 at 3:00 pm. Plans are underway to add an elementary school under the charter to be located in Alys Beach.
Seacoast High School is also accepting applications - SCHS is part of the Seaside school charter. SCHS is a collegiate High School - students have the opportunity to graduate after 4 years with a 2-year college degree. All classes are held at Northwest Florida State College on south 331. The school currently has 9th & 10th grades, adding 11th grade in Fall 2014 and 12th grade in Fall 2015.
