Sexton's, Destin Ice or Blalock's for fresh shrimp?

The title says it all. With Shrimper's closed for the season, where do I get shrimp that will dazzle me?

I don't know about shrimp, but Blalock's has the best shrimp chowder and seafood gumbo- both come in forzen tubs and just reheat. We had it for Christmas Eve dinner and everyone loved it- all you do is cook some rice.

Sexton's for shrimp. No credit cards, though. Cash or local check. The service there is a little curt and not particularly friendly, but their shrimp and fish are very fresh. I like Destin Ice for more of a full-service seafood market. Their prices seem to be a tad higher on fresh fish and shrimp, but if you're intimidated by fish in particular, they're a lot more helpful, and they also carry a lot of prepared items. I haven't tried Blalocks. HTH!

Sexton's. Best price, great shrimp. Goatfeather's for steamed and seasoned shrimp. A quick, easy and delicious meal.

We were at Sexton's (our favorite go to place) yesterday and picked up fresh Florida Pink shrimp. Had never tried them before. Served them at a dinner party last night and they were a big hit. Sexton's is the only place that will debone a whole fish for you at no extra cost. Yes, they are quite a bit further down the road but the prices and freshness are worth the trip.
