While I always patronize and promote SoWal restaurants as much as possible, sometimes I just gotta play wacky golf. If you find yourself stuck in PCB for lunch or dinner and you like Japanes food, you have to try the new "Shan Kishi Japanese Restaurant" on the north side of 98 next to Carraba's Italian Grill, about a mile east of Pier Park.
I've been twice for dinner and the food and service is as good as you'll find anywhere (the "big city") - great sushi, hibachi, tempura, teriyaki, salads.

lunch mon-sat 11-3
dinner mon-thur 5-10, fri-sat 5-11, sun noon-10
I wasn't kidding about the putt putt. Directly south on Front Beach Road is Hidden Lagoon Golf and race track (go carts). Not very wacky at all, but rather a nice miniature golf emporium with 2 courses, a lake and waterfall. While the greens are not premium, the setting is quite pretty and park-like, with an absence of dinosaurs. $11 for adults, kids 6 and under free.
