I absolutely love my shih tzu's. My sweet little Bella had puppies that were pure bred and not registered but i didnt sell them for $400. Is that a good price for your area? I could only get $300 for mine and the markings on mine were very good.

My dog is also named Bella. This is our first litter, so I am just pricing from what I have seen on this board and local newspaper. They sure are cute, we were thinking of keeping 2. (we already have 2).

I also kept one of Bella's babies. Her name is Addie. She is soooooo precious. She is a redish choc/white shih tzu. The little furbabies are just so adorable.

Are these the dogs that are good for people with allergies -- they don't trigger allergies because they have hair rather than fur? We're not looking for a dog now, but maybe in a year or so and it would be a small dog that has a calm and loving personality (not a barker) that would not cause problems for people with allergies.

Yes, I have persistent allergies and these dogs do not bother me at all. They really do not shed at all but the hair is rather fine, which means frequent grooming to avoid matting. These dogs are very calm and excellent with small children. I have 2 small children who can get rather rough at times with my adult shhtzus and they are very mild mannered.
