Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar 30A Oyster Festival takes place at the Gulley Amphitheater on Sunday, October 27 from noon til 6pm. Come out to Gulf Place for the day and enjoy cooking demonstrations, oyster shucking contest, interactive kids area, live music and more!

The Gulley Amphitheater is located in the heart of Gulf Place in South Walton, Florida.

Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar is located on Scenic 30A next to Gulf Place and across from Ed Walline Park. The restaurant is hosting the Shunk Gulley 30A Oyster Fest in their event venue, Gulley Amphiteater, in Gulf Place.

The Inaugural Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar 30A Oyster Festival takes place Sunday Oct 27 from 12-6 pm at the Gulley Amphitheater at Gulf Place. Champion Oyster Shucker Honor Allen will be on hand to give us a championship shucking demo and judge the shuck and suck contest!

We will have an oyster tasting competition, an oyster shucking contest, an interactive kids area, live music and more!

The inaugural festival will include cooking demonstrations, an interactive kids area, live music and an oyster shucking contest with 12 competitors — including Boathouse Oyster Bar of Destin, Slick Lips Seafood & Oyster House of Miramar Beach and Stinky’s Fish Camp in Santa Rosa Beach — set up under tents.

A $20 tasting ticket — available for purchase in advance at Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar, 1875 S. Highway 393, (open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily) or at the event — will give each festival-goers a taste of each oyster under all 12 tents.

In addition to raw on the half shell, many competitors also will be serving chargrilled oysters.
