Somebody do something...this weekend

I have been confined to quarters for nearly 4 weeks and am climbing the walls. Last week I did a couple of very brief paddles out the bayou but that is it.
Does anyone want to go kayaking this Saturday afternoon? Just easy cruising somewhere either from the bayou or one of the dune lakes?

Of course, if the weather becomes an issue we could just have bbq and beverages.

I promise I am not contagious, just acute laryngitis now. I'll hold up cue cards: Beer Me, Want a Beer? Paddle faster, gator on your left!

I still don't know how my weekend is going to roll out. The little lady wants to go fish the surf for Pomps again because I caught one last weekend and she didn't.

If anyone wants to go with you, but doesn't have a kayak, we have a two man and life jackets we'd borrow out in a heartbeat so you could go. Please PM me if this is you. I live in SRB.

I was just telling my wife the other day the next time we come down I am going to rent a kayak for the week. I have just not thought about it before but now this is a must do for the next trip.

Thanks for the Yak offer Ash. I think I'll hit the kid fishing tourney Saturday morning. Maybe drop one of the kayaks in the Gulf if it is calm.
I'm going out Saturday afternoon I'm sure. I have our Hobie mirage drive, the tandem Ocean and a single sit on top.

Might need to go scout out some water today during lunch!!!

I was just informed that it is mother's day this weekend. I'm sure that limits the number of people who can go out and play. Personally, I'm all for mom's abandoning their families on mother's day. I have found it to be a wonderful way to enjoy that one special day we get each year.
I'll get them to schlep my stuff to the dock and then instruct them to clean while I am gone!
