Let me just say, "Holy Cow!" regarding last night's show at the RedBar. I was originally disappointed to hear that Frankie Velvet had cancelled, until I heard the fill-in band announced -- Hubba, Hubba and friends. I know you are thinking that with a name like Hubba, Hubba, and the Extra-Jumbo-sized panties with the band's name printed, which they use as a back drop, the band is some hick jug band. Well you just keep on thinking that. Franco does play the Washboard, but that is about as juggy as they get. I've seen Hubba, Hubba several times, but last night was incredible -- pure rhythm and blues and a boat-load of energy. The RedBar was packed and everyone had an incredible time.
