We had a great trip to Hilton Head Island this week and had a great time too. It was a business meeting for hubby. We met a lot of nice and fun people. We haven't been there since our daughter was about 2; we used to go about 4-6 times a year when we lived in SC.You know I adore SoWal and its funkiness, but I tell you what, I love the lushness of the pine trees and moss-covered oaks at HHI. The bike paths are tree-covered, so you don't fry in the sun when you walk/run/bike. The hard Atlantic beaches aren't as beautiful as those in SoWal, but they're better for my knees -- I can actually walk on the beach at HHI; no way I can do that in the soft sand in SoWal. You can also ride a bike on the beach. I like the fact that the construction is not jammed together like it is in SoWal .I like the availability of marinas for boating on HHI. No decisions yet. We still love SoWal, but we are open to change.
