We got to spend most of last week in sowal. Had never been down in February. The weather was beautiful, almost every restaurant open, crowds were there, but not a problem....and most of all----reminded what a great head cleaner the beach is. Just wanted to pass on to some who may live far away and not get to make it for the "bleak winter"---try it....it is great.
I am ready to get back...soon!

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
Thanks for letting us know of your trip. We'll be there at the end of February and we can't wait. We've always had decent weather (kids will wear shorts, I'm happier in capris and sweatshirt) and have spent a lot of time at the beach, on the porch, in the hot tub, and at restaurants. This year, I hope to do more exploring of some of the nice nature walks around. So, I agree that February is nice. Weather is unpredictable (I heard it's in the 50s this week), but 60s are the norm this time of year there and there are some days in the 70s. Since we're from up north where it's in the 20s often enough this time of year, the 60s and wearing capris and no coat is heavenly. Our kids wear bathing suits in SoWal in February (and January) but a lot of northern kids start wearing shorts at 50 degrees and bathing suits at 60 degrees... It's all relative.

Oh I am looking forward to a little get away to clear the mind as well- We are leaving this Thursday- Sunday- Just me and a couple of girlfriends leaving the men behind and going down for the great scenery, good food (and drink!) and of course SHOPPING!!! I am hoping for the 60s -- Just one look at the ocean and I'm DONE!

Looks like the prediction for Thurs-Sat is mid to hi 60's and sunny. Should be fantastic. Have fun!
Actually, the latest forecast calls for highs of 60F today, upper 60's Wed and Thur, and in the lower 70's on Fri, Sat and Sun.:D
