Insurance for photogs
Marsh Insurance is the company I use. They are recomended by the PPA. My premium is around 300.00 per year for a million in liability coverage. Seaside requires it to shoot on property. This does not mean that you are allowed to shoot on any part that is owned by the HOA, and you still need to get permission and pay a fee even if you are shooting a sanctioned event on an allowed area (weddings mostly). Besides liability, I would suggest that you are covered for "malpractice". That is a part of what you get with PPA membership and worth the price to become a member in itself. Sorry to advocate for insurance companies, but it is a cruel world if/when a client is unhappy. I hope you will come to the July meeting, I did not get to talk with you enough. First time is always a little chaotic (in a pleasant way). I would like to pursue some group type projects... Keep in touch! Amy
