There's a nice circular statement. Nothing like the government. To that I bring you a quote from Raising Arizona...

Gale: All right, ya hayseeds, it's a stick-up. Everybody freeze. Everybody down on the ground.
Feisty Hayseed: Well, which is it, young feller? You want I should freeze or get down on the ground? Mean to say, if'n I freeze, I can't rightly drop. And if'n I drop, I'm a-gonna be in motion. You see...
Gale: Shut up!
Feisty Hayseed: Okay then.

US Gov't: All right, ya hayseeds. This is a recall. Everybody stop driving your Toyotas. Drive them to a dealer right now!
Feisty Toyota Owner: Well, which is it, young feller? You want I should stop driving or drive to a dealer? Mean to say, if'n I don't drive, I can't rightly take my car to a dealer. And if'n I drive to a dealer, I'm a-gonna be drivin'. You see...
US Gov't: Shut up!
Feisty Toyota Owner: Okay then.

Almost like you need more than 140 characters to effectively communicate something.

WASHINGTON - Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said Wednesday that he misspoke when he told a Congressional subcommittee that owners of recalled Toyotas should "stop driving" their vehicles until they were repaired.

“What I said in there was obviously a misstatement,” LaHood told reporters in a hasty news conference held after he testified before a House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation.

LaHood clarified his remarks and said owners who were concerned about their Toyota vehicles should bring them to dealers and have them examined.

Yeah, they did slap his hand and make him change his story. OOPS! Maybe the thread title should end in a question mark.

Marianna Toyota has changed their slogan:

If you can't drive it to us, give us a call, and we drive into you!
