Hello All:

It's been four or five years since we last visited your area for our annual vacation. We're looking for ideas for this Summer, and since we have to fly in, anywhere on the Gulf would work.

I know you all love the Panhandle, and so do we, but are there any other areas on the Gulf that have cheaper Summer rates, clean beaches and good water for swimming? We aren't looking for crowds or night life, just a peaceful area to relax.

Thanks,

Henry

We haven't been to any ocean beaches up in the Northwest, the water is too cold for swimming, even in the Summer.

Montana is correct. That papermill is gone and St Joe is building a new development on that spot. The funny smell is from Arizona Chemical plant located just up the street.
