Happy Holidays and New Year!
We need all members to attend the 2016 Annual Membership Meeting to help shape the future of SWCC. Please mark your calendars:
SWCC Annual Meeting
Monday, February 29th at 6 pm
Coastal Branch Library on US 331
The Annual Meeting is a chance for the membership of SWCC to come together to learn more about SWCC's history, our plans for the coming year, and to vote on some important organizational matters.
As you are every year, the membership will be asked to vote on the 2016 Leadership and Board of Directors. This year, we will also have revised Bylaws to approve to ensure that as we move forward in the new year, we have not only the leadership needed but the structural framework from which to manage our efforts to their highest potential.
Members will also receive our Annual Report and learn how to get more involved in our network of neighborhood-based and community leadership focus areas with new special topic volunteer committees, events, education and outreach opportunities.
As South Walton Continues to Grow, SWCC Continues to Evolve!
Your South Walton Community Council is only as dynamic as the dedicated community volunteers who work with us to ensure that SWCC can continue to meet the changing needs of our region.
We need volunteer leaders and like-minded collaborators committed to sustainable growth with an eye towards the quality of life that brought us all together to make South Walton our home. We need volunteers interested in building capacity for neighborhood and issue based initiatives, strengthening civic leadership, advocating for responsive government, and educating about the importance of the pristine natural environment that continues to make South Walton the thriving, magical place we all call home.
If You or Your Organization is Interested in a Volunteer, Leadership or Partnership Role, Contact Us Today!
Serving on the SWCC Board is an excellent way to get more involved in community affairs while learning about the many complex issues of importance to our quality of life. These include such topics as: good government, community planning and development, leadership development, education, transportation, and wildlife and habitat preservation.
The SWCC Board of Directors strives to represent a broad depth and breadth of interests from neighborhood organizations to concerned parents, industry professionals to concerned citizens and business owners. But, we rely on the interest from concerned community volunteers to ensure that we are representing all interests equally.
To nominate yourself or another community leader for a position on our board or with one of our committees, or to RSVP to the annual meeting, email us at info@southwaltoncc.org or call 850.314.3749.
