The South Walton Fire District's Beach Safety Division is searching for the next wave of lifeguards to join our surf rescue family. This job is a physically demanding, but immensely rewarding opportunity for anyone 17 years or older.
Starting pay is $20/hour, lifeguards can build their own schedule, and prior experience is not required. However, this job is an especially great fit for strong swimmers, athletes, surfers, and any individuals who have a public safety or medical field background.
As a beach lifeguard, you will be directly responsible for saving the lives of others through prevention, education, and rescues. If you have the will, we will teach you the skills to swim, run, provide lifesaving medical care, and ultimately, make a difference!
