SWFD Pancake Breakfast
UPDATE
#SWFDNews | ANNUAL SWFD PANCAKE BREAKFAST RETURNS WITH A NEW LOCATION
SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. --- The South Walton Fire District Annual Pancake Breakfast is back for the first time since 2019 and will be hosted at a new location.
After putting the event on hold due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, SWFD is thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate the start of Fire Prevention Week alongside the community once again with a delicious breakfast and family-friendly activities.
“Connecting with our community is one of our top priorities and this event allows us to interact with children and families in a non-emergency, fun environment,” said SWFD Fire Marshal Sammy Sanchez. “We are excited to bring this back and open our home up once again.”
In years past, the event has been held at SWFD Fire Station 2, located in WaterColor. However, the 2022 Pancake Breakfast will be held at the SWFD Logistics and Fleet Maintenance Facility on October 8, from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m., which is located at 911 N. County Highway 393 in Santa Rosa Beach.
All-you-can-eat pancakes will be served for $5 per person, with the proceeds going toward purchasing fire prevention materials. SWFD uses these materials for public education and to provide items like free, residential smoke alarms to those in need throughout the year.
Family-friendly activities will be available, including face painting, a photo booth, fire engine tours, kids’ firefighter combat challenge, and a bounce house.
Anyone interested in purchasing event wristbands ahead of the breakfast can do so by coming to the SWFD Station 3 lobby between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Wristbands will also be sold on the day of the event.
“By moving this event to our Station 3 location, we’re hopeful that we’ll be able to reach a new part of our community, as well as have the tremendous support that we’ve had in years past,” said SWFD Fire Chief Ryan Crawford. “Our Logistics and Fleet Maintenance Facility is one-of-a-kind in Northwest Florida and provides the opportunity to accommodate a larger crowd with plenty of kid-friendly activities.”
We look forward to seeing our community this weekend. Learn more here:
