How many of you investors or real estate agent have a bid number with Walton County for biding on over due taxes on properties? I notice that some of the properties are very expensive based on were they are located. Before you get on my case this, I was just doing some investigation. If the taxes continue to increase I may be on a future list.

I know you really mean that your total dollar amt of taxes has increased, but in reality, the tax rate for Walton County has decreased for the last two years now. The current millage rate for SoWal is just under 10 mills. Compared with any other area in the US, I think this is great. In other places I where I have lived the millage rate was typically anywhere from 20 to 28 mills.

Yes, but you have to do your home work. Remember the owner of the property can reclaim the lien any time within 2 years plus interest on a tax sale. Good deals are few, but they are there. Just do your homework.
Go to Walton County Clerk Office site and they will list the tax sales.
