Walton County Beach Operations will temporarily close the Ed Walline Regional Beach Access, restrooms and parking lot Jan. 26–29
while the Public Works Department resurfaces the lot.
During the closure, visitors are encouraged to use nearby regional beach accesses,
including Gulfview Heights, Fort Panic and Dune Allen.
The resurfacing will provide ample room for the tram to safely and efficiently drop
off and pick up passengers, as part of the county’s ongoing plan to establish an
east-to-west transportation program along CR-30A.
Starting March 1, complimentary tram service will begin at Ed Walline, using the
recently completed CR-393 parking lot for pickup and drop-off located at 1668 S.
CR-393.
Beach Operations asks for patience from visitors and residents as these
improvements are completed, which are designed to enhance safety and
accessibility for everyone.
