I know...I know I am so long winded, but this is so important for people to get their credit!!!! And D&K's has a lot of people to thank!
Thanks to the Walton Sun...Joyce and Rick Owen and Kelly (my new bff) for all the support you gave us at D&K's Cafe during our Halloween "GET YOUR BOO ON"! We appreciate the wonderful article that was written, pictures taken and Kelly's help to get those funn ads together. Kelly was such the sport to help us get Chris and Kelly's heads on that platter. The art department's Lee rocked!
I also want to thank the Shadowman and his "ghouls" for all their hard work turning the cafe into something out of an old horror film. The fog rolling in was just over the top fantastic! Along with the D&K kitchen team that put together that SPELL CASTING SPECIAL!!!!
Doug especially thanks them for taking care of business while he's been recuperating.
Our wait staff did an incredible job with their costumes and making the diners feel such a part of our Halloween celebration! Kelly, Chris, Natalia, and Sarah were dressed as pirates with Chris as Captain Jack Sparrow. Chris worked hours on everyone's costume. They are the BEST employees you could ever want and we are SO LUCKY to have them on our team. Sharon, our weekend hostess, was dressed to kill as a Pirate's Wench. She does a great job filling in for me when I can't be there and also when I am there. You may also know her in the daylight as a teacher at Seaside Neighborhood School....and Sarah is a teacher at the Montessori School. Natalia has had 6 years experience at the Red Bar and Chris and Kelly have been with us from the beginning. WHAT A FRONT OF THE HOUSE STAFF!!!!
You SOWAL PEEPS who dined with us time and time again because you couldn't get enough of Halloween are fantastic and we applaud EVERY ONE OF YOU! Thank you so much for your kind words of support, your incredible attitude and passion for a funn time....and just for being you! Each one of you make me feel so good. I get caught up with you guys and the staff just has to put up with it sometimes making their load a little heavier, but they know SoWallers come first!
So my friends I was left only to get dressed up and talk with the diners....and that's what I LOVE THE MOST!
