I stumbled on this website.

Apparently SoWal (or Florida's Design Coast as they refer to it!) is the subject of a specialty tour for folks interested in classical architecture and design. Tour includes visits to Seaside, Rosemary, and Alys Beach.
I haven't heard of SoWal being the focus of any organized tours along these lines before.
From the Website:
"The Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America have arranged a private, extended weekend tour of three dynamic towns in the Florida Panhandle. The featured towns have been in the forefront of the growing movement to replace the banality of suburban sprawl with breakthrough community-focused town planning known as ?New Urbanism.?
Interesting.
Same company offers tours to Greece, Ireland, Italy etc. Nice to see SoWal diversifying it's tourism base.
