My understanding is that they are consolidating with all of the other umbrella papers over in PC at the News Herald.

So in this stroke of genius they are moving the Walton Sun's news desk to Bay County. :roll:

I'm sad. the walton sun is my one and only. we've been together forevah! but, I guess nothing lasts forevah! we'll have to wait and see - but if our friends aren't writing and managing it, then I can't imagine that it will continue to be our favorite rag. I guess we'll have to do our own version of local news right here on sowal.com. everyone has to submit a blog each saturday morning.

Who is Leucadia and Rosemary Beach going to pay to slam people they don't like now? I almost broke down and ran an ad campaign in the Sun so that I could get them to take some local idiot's heads off for me. I'm glad I never gave them the advertising business and, I hope they and every paper they're affiliated with continue to get beat down by the internet till they file for the inevitable Chapter 7.

Honestly I've gotten faster and more reliable news from sowal than the Sun for quite sometime.
