Theft in the area

Miss Milly found a ladies wallet this morning at Watercolor on her morning walk. Mr Seagrover said she came out of the woods with it - nice find Milly, a Prada wallet.

The wallet had several credit cards with two different names - one male and one female. Just so happenes that both people are from Atlanta.

After talking with both, the guy thought he had possibly lost his money clip or had it taken from the house he was staying in at Seaside. All his credit cards were there but no drivers license.

The lady had her wallet taken from the baby pool in Watercolor. She said the guy came up to her while she and her Mom were sitting watching the kids at the pool - the guy reached in her beach bag and took her small purse containing her cell phone and wallet and ran away. She said some people tried to catch the guy but couldn't. She said the people had been watching him because he looked out of place at the pool. He had a short buzz cut and tatoos around his neck area.

Be careful people - I'm sad our little piece of Paradise does have bad things going on.

Everyone had already canceled their credit cards and the lady gets her Prada wallet back but we all loose because of this type of thing happening in our back yard.

Don't panic Audie- I think our crime rate is still waaaay lower than where you and most other SoWal visitors live.;-)

Maybe Millie needs a job at the Sheriff's Department. Better, yet- she should run for sheriff!

...wow, I am wondering if this means there are still huge holes at the entrances to the pool at WC, even after the new protocol. seagrover....did you mean the baby pool at the Beach Club?

No doubt the crime in sowal is less than the Big D! We have close to 24 hr. patrol in my neighborhood and sheet still happens. Like Mr. K says...if criminals want to break the law, they will find a way to do it.

Kitty, is the baby pool near the larger pool at WC? It that is the case, then, I think the it was the Beach Club. As I said, maybe it was security that was watching him in that he looked like he didn't belong - not that there is anything wrong with tatoos around the neck area.........

This was over the weekend of the 4th.

I think it would be appropriate for Milly to be Sheriff of South Walton since Catfish was the Mayor of Seagrove.

And that Milly was stylin' in that she only picks up Prada!!!

I guess we're not living in Hooterville anymore. Living in an area prior to moving here, with serious gang activity a mile in two different dierctions, you learn to lock up and try to keep an eye out for things. It is sad, though.

This sucks, a snatch and grab at WaterColor? I find it hard to believe that it was the beach club since that is locked down like Ft. Knox. Was it maybe the baithouse pool?
