Anyone remember 1983-84? Michael Jackson, before he hopped on the bus to Kookville, and that album was all you heard...

New "Deluxe Edition" out today, thinking about grabbing one, but don't want to give the Big Four Major Labels any of my dough.

Wonder if I still have my old vinyl copy.

Me! I dressed up as Michael Jackson for Halloween that year - probably still have the glove somewhere! I danced at his 1988 (I think!) concert, from the time he started singing until it was over. Everyone there danced - I don't think they needed seats at that concert!

Practically every song from that album was top notch. He could have sang from a cook book and made it a hit. That and the 'Off the Wall' album are true classics.

I actually prefer "Off the Wall." No matter MJ's recent crackpot escapades, the guy laid down a couple bona fide classics. Not to mention the Jackson 5 stuff.
